Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking an Accounting Generalist to join their expanding team in Vermont. This position plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the organization's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Daily DOC (Dealer Operating Control) report.
  • Post and finalize vehicle deals within the Dealer Management System (DMS) for accounting purposes.
  • Reconcile monthly finance reserve statements.
  • Submit, track, and reconcile manufacturer incentive programs.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and schedules, including vehicle receivables and inventory.
  • Support deal breakdown activities and prepare contract packages for submission to finance sources.
  • Assist with processing and reconciling all lien payoffs.
  • Generate month-end reports & support the Office Manager during the month-end close process.
  • Reconcile monthly manufacturer parts statements.
  • Process and submit electronic aftersale remittances.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience working within automotive or retail industry
  • Knowledge of Excel
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred

Required Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Fully On-Site)

The position offers competitive pay with a salary range of $22 to $28 per hour.
